A stained-glass soldering iron is usually the wrong choice for PCBs because it is designed to heat broad copper-foil seams, not small electronic joints. For circuit boards, choose an iron or station with temperature control, replaceable tips in useful sizes, and enough power to recover heat during a joint. Wattage alone does not determine whether an iron is suitable.
